Jimmy and Russ and families I extend to you my deepest sympathy. My fondest memories of high school were with “Ma” and the band. I last saw her at our 1960 50th class reunion in 2010. Russ you were the mascot for our class. I will miss knowing she is there in Kingstree with all of our wonderful memories. May it give you comfort to know how much she was respected and loved. Jimmy and Russ,

I offer you and your families my sincerest and deepest condolences. I started in the band with “Ma” in 1957 and was her Student Director my Senior year. She encouraged me to attend The Citadel, which I did and was in the Regimental Band because of her. She had a great influence on my school years and through out my entire live. I know she will be remembered fondly by literally by hundreds.

    Tommy Owen
