  1. Tim Ketner

My condolences to the Ward family on the loss of this great woman. As her nephew, I didn’t get to see her very often, but I do remember her loving to bake pies and singing hymns. I have early memories of her playing the reed organ that was at our house and singing. A loss, but she has moved to a better place. My thoughts are with Uncle George and Jeff at this time.

  2. Sincerely, Julia Moore Kasel & husband, Matt

  5. Frances Stephens

    George and Jeff,
So sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. I know you both have many great memories to cherish. Rachel was a dear friend to me. She was always doing something good and sharing her delicious cooking for others. We had so much fun at trio practice. Rachel was always telling jokes. It was good to see you and Rachel when Frances and I stopped by to see you. The best thing about Rachel is she was a devout Christian. My you feel God’s comforting arms around you.

  6. Frances Blalock

George and Jeff, I am truly sorry for the loss of Rachel. She was very special to me. I will always remember the many times that our little gospel trio sang in churches in the Durham area. I am so glad Framces and I got to spend some time with her a few years ago. Playing those tapes of our singing seemed to be uplifting to all of us. God bless you both and know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
