Dorice Reynolds “Ray” Boatwright, 64, passed away at home Wednesday, October 08, 2014.

    Mr. Boatwright was born May 27, 1950, in Williamsburg County, a son of Uldine McCrea Boatwright and the late Dorice Buff Boatwright. He was a graduate of Indiantown High School and was retired from Santee Electric Co-op. Ray was a member of the Cedar Swamp Lancers Association and the Palmetto Paint Horse Association, and was an avid outdoorsman.

     Surviving in addition to his mother Uldine Boatwright, of Kingstree and Florence, are: his wife Peggy Epps Boatwright; sons, Curt R. (Kelly) Boatwright, of Cedar Swamp and Lance Boatwright, of Bonneau; sisters, Peggy Boatwright (Charles) Barwick and Kay Boatwright Floyd, both of Kingstree; and four grandchildren.

     Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, October 10, 2014, in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
