Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Williamsburg Funeral Home with burial at Kingstree Memorial Gardens.

Raymond Chesley Covington, 90, husband of the late Carmen McClary Covington, died Friday, September 26, 2025, at his home in Kingstree, SC.
Mr. Raymond was born September 6, 1935, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Holland Spears Covington and Mary McKnight Covington. He was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and retired from Milliken in Kingstree as an industrial engineer. After retirement, Raymond and Carmen owned and operated R&CC Framers for many years, helping many satisfied customers. Raymond was an avid fisherman and enjoyed photography. He attended Williamsburg Baptist Church when his health allowed.
Surviving Mr. Covington are: a sister Janice C. Russell, of Sumter, SC; many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Dicky Butler of Stokes, NC; special cousins, Bert and Ondra Hanna of Kingstree; and his close furry companion Buster. Mr. Raymond’s family offers a special thank you to Lee Washington and Donnie Wall for all their care and concern over the last few years. The family would also like to thank Erica, Tabitha, Carrie, and Carey from Gentiva Hospice for their care of Raymond in recent days. In addition to his parents and his wife Carmen, Raymond was preceded in death by six siblings, four sisters and two brothers.
