Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Midway Church, New Zion, SC, with Rev. Michael R. Lowder officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Robert Joe McKenzie, 87, died at his home in New Zion on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Joe was husband and constant companion for 67 years to his wife Ettalene Evans McKenzie who departed to her heavenly home on May 31, 2019.He was the son of the late Marvin and Prudence Floyd McKenzie.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Phil) Grimsley of Lake City; granddaughter, Jessi Grimsley of Lake City and grandson, Phillip Grimsley of Lake City; and step granddaughters, April Cockfield of Lake City and Jennifer Stone of Florence. He was predeceased by a son, Joe Wendell McKenzie and an infant daughter, Kathy Lynn McKenzie; one sister and five brothers.
Joe was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He attended Midway Presbyterian Church. He retired after 35 years of meritus work at Milliken and Company.
Visitation will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 8, 2019, with the service to follow at 11 AM at Midway Church, New Zion, SC, with Rev. Michael R. Lowder officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
