Rounette Smith Belue, 71, wife of Bobby D. Belue, Sr., passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at home after an illness.
Mrs. Belue was born January 29, 1943, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Herbert Benjamin Smith and Eulee Kirby Smith. She was retired from her longtime job at Piggly Wiggly as the bookkeeper. Mrs. Belue was a member of Kingstree First Assembly of God Church, where she was very active with ladies’ ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Danny Smith, a son David Belue, and 2 grandsons, Justin Phillip Hodge and Brandon Dean Belue.
Surviving in addition to her husband Bobby are: a son, Bobby Dean (Patty) Belue, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Belue (Todd) Hodge; son, Ted Levon Belue; 7 grandchildren, Krislin Belue, Kaitlin Belue, Kaylee Belue, T.K. Hodge, Cory (Deidre) Hodge, Josh Hodge, and Alex Belue ; great grandchildren, Caleb Hodge, Justin Hodge and Lexi Hodge, and soon to be born Kaisen Poston; 6 sisters, Catherine Duke, Brooks Jackson, Janie Knight, Dell Prosser, Nita Yarborough, and Linda Williamson; and 3 brothers, H.B. Smith, Reynolds Smith, and Arial Smith.
Funeral services will be 4 PM Friday, September 26, 2014, in Williamsburg Funeral Home’s chapel, with burial in Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM Friday at the funeral home before the service.
