G.R. Eaddy

Mr. Gareth Rhuedarf "G.R." Eaddy, 86, widower of Sara Calcutt Eaddy, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Charleston VA Hospital.
Mr. Eaddy was born May 13, 1927, in Florence County, a son of the late John Wilford Eaddy and
Senora Melvina Cox Eaddy. He was a Navy veteran, the retired owner of G.R.'s Body Shop, and wasa former instructor at Williamsburg Technical College. He was a member of McClary-Cole VFW Post 6500. Mr. Eaddy enjoyed coin collecting, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents and his first wife Sara, G.R. was preceded in death by his second wife Ruby McClam Eaddy, a step son Jack Ferguson, 4 brothers, Heston Eaddy, John W. Eaddy, Jr., Jack Henry Eaddy, and Willard Trise Eaddy, and a sister Mary Travis Hodge.
Surviving are: his son Spencer (Annette) Eaddy, of Blythewood, SC; his daughter Linda (Wayne) Strong, of Kingstree; his stepson David (Faye) Ferguson, of Allendale; 4 sisters, Marguerite Eaddy Tobias, of Greeleyville, Genevieve Eaddy Richburg, of Greeleyville, Patricia Eaddy Tisdale, of Kingstree, and Sinuerette "Rita" Eaddy, of Prosperity ; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, May 9, 2014, in Kingstree First Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 Thursday evening at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
