Mary Johnson Thompson

     Mary Johnson Thompson, 81, wife of James W. Thompson, died Friday, January 10, 2014, in Williamsburg Regional Hospital.
    
      Mrs. Thompson was born April 15, 1932, in Laurens County, a daughter of the late Henry Thomas Johnson and Cora Craft Johnson. She was a graduate of Whitmire schools and was a homemaker.
      
     Surviving, in addition to her husband James Thompson, of Kingstree are: her children, Pam (Rick) Pittman, of Raeford, NC, Phyllis (Geoff) Lifrage, of Kingstree, and “Buster” (Linda) Thompson, also of Kingstree; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother Junior Johnson, of Whitmire.
     
     Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Monday in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home just prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
