     Clarice Elizabeth “Betty” Strong, 85, wife of Jack “Cuz” Strong, Sr., died Friday, January 3, 2014, in Williamsburg Regional Hospital.
     Mrs. Strong was born March 7, 1928, in Salisbury, Vermont, a daughter of the late Hugh Grant Leonard and Marion Sara Dyer Leonard Otis. She was a US Air Force veteran and was retired from Farmers Telephone. Betty was a member of Suttons United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Missionary Society.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Patricia Seeman and Phyllis Billings.
     Surviving, in addition to her husband Jack Wallace “Cuz” Strong, Sr., of Andrews, are: 3 three sons, Michael Jay Strong, of Manning, Jack Randall (Jennifer) Strong, of Suttons, and Jack W. “Little Cuz” (Cynthia) Strong, Jr., of Andrews; 2 daughters, Sandra S. (David) Feagin, of Hebron, and Sheri S. (Randy) Taylor, of Bonneau; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Strong, James Taylor, Dustin Strong, Whitney Strong, Nicole Taylor, Kelly Feagin Carter, Jared Strong, Candice Strong, and Jenna Strong; 4 great grandchildren, Clay Taylor, Emma Grace Carter, Everly Pritchett, and Cameron Strong; a sister, Nancy L. Cox, of Arizona; and her twin brother William D. Leonard, of Surfside Beach.
     Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday in the Suttons United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
