David Arnold
Coker, 65, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in Williamsburg Regional Hospital
after an illness.
Mr. Coker
was born March 22, 1948, in Clarendon County, a son of the late Julian
“Ellerby” Coker and Mrs. Beatrice Floyd Coker. He was a graduate of Williamsburg
Technical College, was an Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Viet
Nam War, and retired from Baxter Laboratories. Mr. Coker was a member of
Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition
to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, David Mead Coker and
Jeffery Scott Coker, all of Kingstree, and a sister, Diane Coker of Lake
City.
Surviving
are: his wife, Judy McKenzie Coker of Kingstree; son, Michael Chance Coker;
sister, Charlotte C. McGee; 2 grandsons, Michael Scott Coker and Corey
Jordan Coker, all of Kingstree.
Funeral services
will be 1 P.M. Friday in the Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, with
burial in Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday evening at Williamsburg
Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Christmas Fund at Sandy Bay
Pentecostal Holiness Church, 172 Delos Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
