      Ms. Dawn Marie Haines, 61, beloved mother of Dr. Michelle Butterworh Corey, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at her daughter’s residence.
      Ms. Haines was born September 13, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Genevieve Zimmerman Haines and Charles Haines. She was retired from Armco Steel as a safety officer. Dawn loved animals and doted on her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by a sister Heather Woelfer and a daughter Kimberly Butterworth. Mrs. Haines was a former Nursing assistant at Kingstree Nursing Facility and also worked at Pee Dee Foot Center.
     Surviving are: her daughter Dr. Michelle Butterworth Corey and her husband Dr. Steve Corey, of Kingstree; a sister Sharyn Kotrosa, of Baltimore, MD; a brother Charles “Butch” Haines, of Ocean City, Md; and 4 grandchildren, Stephen Corey, Jr., Michael Corey, Alexandra Corey, and Ryan Corey.
     A memorial service will be 3 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
