     Miss Hazel Roberta Brown, 64, died Wednesday March 5, 2014, in McLeod Regional Hospital.
     Miss Brown was born September 5, 1949, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Ralph and Alberta Owens “Mama B” Brown. She was a 1968 graduate of Indiantown High School and was a lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church, where she was a choir member and the chairperson of The Sunshine Committee. Hazel was loved by the many children she, along with “Mama B”, cared for at their home and in these last few years at Doodle Buzz Academy, where she was a teacher and an assistant to all ages. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Brown.
     Surviving are: her brothers, Daniel (Regina) Brown and Ronald (Mary) Brown, both of Kingstree; sister, Lorraine (Dean) Carson, of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.
      Memorial services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Central Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, PO Box 421, Kingstree, SC 29556.
