James C. Kirton, II

James Clyde Kirton,
II, 52, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at his residence after an illness.
Mr. Kirton was
born April 9, 1961, in Charleston, a son of Bernice Murray Kirton and the
late Clyde B. Kirton, Sr. He was a graduate of Kingstree Sr. High School
and was retired. He loved working in his yard, wrestling and his pets.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina
Allyson Kirton, and grandparents, Bessie B. Kirton, James C. Kirton I and
Rebecca Elizabeth Lauber.
Surviving, in
addition to his mother of Kingstree, are: his daughter, Susan Denise Kirton,
of Panama City, FL; sisters, Marilyn (Reuben) Phillips, of Kingstree and
Gwen K. Strickland, of Scranton; brother, Clyde B. (Tammy) Kirton, Jr.
of Panama City, FL; 5 nephews, 4 nieces, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews,
3 aunts and cousins.
The family thanks
his niece, Rebecca Strickland and Lisa Estes, Leah Howell and Glen Carter
of McLeod Hospice for their faithful and loving care of Mr. Kirton.
Funeral services
will be private. Memorials may be made McLeod Hospice, P.O. Box 100551,
Florence, SC 29502.
