Mr. Joe Frierson Street, 78, widower of Joan Britton Street, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in Kingstree Nursing Facility.
     Mr. Street was born October 7, 1935, in Sumter, SC, a son of the late Henry Street and Virginia Burgess Street Smith. He was a graduate of Hebron High School, was an Army veteran, and retired from Suburban Propane Gas. Joe was a member of Woodmen of the World and a member of Union Presbyterian Church. He was a former member and Elder of Bethel Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife and parents, Joe was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roy and Leland Street.
     Surviving are: his daughter, Stacey S. (Robert) Morgan, of Gaffney, SC; a sister, Betty (Bobby) Thornhill, of Turbeville; and 3 grandchildren, Quentin Murray, Roxi Morgan, and Shane Morgan
     Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Union Presbyterian Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends 6 to 8 PM Friday at Williamsburg Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, c/o Mrs. Diane Boyd, 114 E. Brooks Street, Kingstree, SC 29556.
