John McCullough
“Jack” Crosby, 88, died Thursday, December 5, 2013, in Carolinas Hospital
in Florence.
Mr. Crosby
was born March 20, 1925, in Andrews, SC, a son of the late Namon J. and
Eula McCullough Crosby. He attended Cedar Swamp Community School and was
a farmer. Jack was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. In addition
to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Crosby.
Surviving
are: his sister, Eula Mae C. Floyd Winters; nieces and nephews, Christy
C. (Henry) Lyerly, Watty Crosby, Karen C. (Jimmy) Spigner, Victoria F.
(Ken) Wooten, Pat (Julie) Floyd, Linda F. Price, and Johnny (Janet) Floyd;
great nieces and nephews, Lee (Ellen) Lyerly, Leslie L. (Alan) Collins,
Joey Crosby, Stacy C. McGaha, Amanda Crosby, Kelly S. (Cody) Jordan, Ashley
S. (Robert) Tankersley, Gregory Wooten, Jonathan (Ashley) Wooten, Patti
F. (Steve) Wilbourne, Christopher (Jessie) Floyd, Ginger P. Webber, Becky
Price, Bill (Tracy) Price, and Tyler Floyd.
Funeral
services will be 3 PM Saturday December 7, 2013, in Cedar Grove Baptist
Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends
in the fellowship hall of the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials
may be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 3905 Big Woods Road, Kingstree,
SC 29556.
The family
would like to thank the staff of The Heritage Home of Florence for the
excellent care, love, and attention they gave Jack during his time with
them. Thank you also to the staff of Carolinas Hospital for their compassion.
