    Katherine Elaine “Kathy” Duke Bouchette, 65, died Saturday, October 5, 2013, in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

     Kathy was born November 3, 1947, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Burch and Jackie McKenzie Duke. She graduated from Kingstree High School, completed an Associate Degree at Columbia College, and retired from Farmers Telephone as a Customer Service Representative. Kathy enjoyed kayaking in Black River and being with her friends. She was a very active member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and played the piano for over 20 years. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katey Tisdale.

    Surviving are: her daughter, Elisia T. (Gary) Hodge, of Andrews; her son, Don (Molly) Tisdale, of Kingstree; her brother, Graham Duke, of Kingstree; and 2 grandsons, Alex and Lee Scott

    Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Tuesday, October 8, 2013, in Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends 6 to 8 PM Monday at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 3905 Big Woods Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
