Mrs. Miriam
Gause Reardon, 74, widow of Robert Danel Reardon, died Wednesday, March
19, 2014, at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Reardon
was born November 10, 1939, in Florence County, a daughter of the late
Harvey and Lela Belle Hicks Gause. She was a graduate of Georgetown High
School and Williamsburg Technical College. Mrs. Reardon and her husband
Daniel were the owners of B&R Restaurant in Kingstree from 1974 to
1990, and when the restaurant closed she worked at Piggly Wiggly. She was
a member of Kingstree First Free Will Baptist Church, had enjoyed playing
piano at her former church in Georgetown, and was an avid gardener. In
addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Reardon was preceded in death
by a brother Preston Gause.
Surviving
are: her son, Brian E. Reardon and loving daughter-in-law Penny Reardon,
of New Zion; 2 grandchildren, Katrina Lynne Hiott, of Summerville and Robert
Collin Reardon, of New Zion; 2 step grandchildren, Jessica Altman, of Moncks
Corner and Lucas E. Teaster, of Lake City; 4 great grandchildren; a brother
Charles Michael Gause, of Altamonte Springs, FL; and a sister Linda G.
Reeves, of Florida.
Funeral services
will be 3 PM Friday, March 21, 2014, in the chapel of Williamsburg Funeral
Home, with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends from 2 to 3 PM just prior to the service at Williamsburg Funeral
Home. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 2555 Lin Do Court, Suite
B, Sumter, SC 29150.
