     Mr. Raymond Andrew Woods, Sr., 80, husband of Brenda Harrington Woods, passed away Sunday April 27, 2014, at his home.

     Mr. Woods was born June 9, 1933, in Hartsville, SC, a son of the late Louise Outlaw Woods and E. Allen Woods, Sr. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School and was retired from Southern Bell. Raymond was a US Army veteran of Korea, retired from the SC National Guard (132nd MP Unit) after 23 years of service there, and after being reactivated, served stateside as Family Support Coordinator during Desert Storm in 1989-90. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, Chapter 27, where he was serving as treasurer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, E. Allen Woods, Jr. and Joe L. Woods.

    Surviving, in addition to his wife Brenda, of Kingstree, are: his son Andy Woods, of Hartsville; his daughter Sherry (Connie) Cantor, of Symsonia, KY; his stepson Byron (Dawn) Phillips, of Sumter; his stepdaughter Susan Brunson, of Lexington, SC; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Brenda (Gary) Wall, of Surfside Beach, SC and Diane McKinley, of Myrtle Beach, SC.

    Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
