     Mrs. Wilhelmina Epps Overby, 89, widow of Lewis Thomas “Tom” Overby, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in the Kingstree Nursing Facility.
     Mrs. Overby was born July 27, 1924, in the Mouzon Community, a daughter of the late David C. and Wilhelmina Williamson “Willa” Epps. She was a graduate of Cades High School and Winthrop College, with a BS in Education. Mrs. Overby was a retired school teacher, having taught in Pleasant Hill, Indiantown, Hebron, Kingstree and Williamsburg Academy. She was an active member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, a Lifetime Member of the Kingstree Pilot Club and a member of The Garden Makers Garden Club. She was a kind and gentle southern lady, and was the best mother in the world!
     Surviving are her daughter, Betty Ann (Tom) Waddell of West Columbia, sister-in-law, Dorothy Epps of New Zion, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband Tom, she was preceded in death by her brother, Muldrow Epps.
     Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday, March 20, 2014, in Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, with burial in Williamson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday                                                        at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
