Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Katherine Crimm,  will be 11 AM, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Kingstree United Methodist Church with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens

     Alvin Wilson “Wil” Coker, Jr., 38, husband of Audra Camile Truluck Coker, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

     Mr. Coker was born November 19, 1983, in Florence, SC, the son of Elisa “Lisa” Ruth Evans Coker and the late Alvin Wilson Coker. He was a 2002 graduate of Williamsburg Academy and earned an associate degree at Florence Darlington Technical College. Wil was employed as a Utilities Systems Operator at FCI Williamsburg, Federal Bureau of Prisons. Wil was a member of Inglesby Masonic Lodge and a lifelong member of Kingstree United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, especially deer and duck hunting with his dear hunting partner Trigger. Wil had a great appreciation for classic cars and things of beauty. He enjoyed grilling and entertaining friends with his colorful stories. Wil was a man who took great pride in his role as a husband, father figure, uncle, and son.

     Surviving Mr. Coker, in addition to his wife Audra and his mother Lisa, both of Kingstree,  are: his stepdaughter, Eden Burrows of Kingstree; his sister, Amy (Justin) Hill of Salters; beloved niece, Shay Carraway; nephews, Anthony and Greyson Hill; grandmother, Marian Wilson Coker of Kingstree, aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Elaine McElveen and John and Becky Plowden; cousins, Matt and Jamey McElveen and Sam and Coker Plowden; and a multitude of friends. Wil was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He was a friend that could be counted on. Wil was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Coker, grandfathers, Alvin W. Coker and C.W. Evans, Jr; and grandmother, Doris Arnette Evans.
