Betty Boyd McCrea, 96, wife of the late Thomas “Martin” McCrea,  passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home in Kingstree, SC.

     Mrs. McCrea was born July 1, 1927, in Columbia, SC, a daughter of the late Emmett Henry Boyd, Sr. and Laura Hamlet Boyd. She was a homemaker, worked at Baxter Labs for some years, and operated Two Seasons Fruit Stand in Pawleys Island for many years.

     Mrs. McCrea is survived by one son, Hugh (Linda) McCrea of Kingstree.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Bill McCrea, and Emmett McCrea, three sisters, and one brother.

     A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2024, in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family has requested memorials be made to the American Heart Association, https://www.heart.org/, or by mail- American Heart Association,  PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
