My heart is sad in the loss of my step-father (Bobby Smith). He has been a part of our family more years than either of our parents and we love him very much. Pa, we love you and will miss talking to you. I know that you have been sick for awhile but I could still talk to you. Missing you deeply!

  4. Debbie Long Smith

I met Bobby about 23 years ago. He (along with all the Smith’s) really knew how to give a good hug. My husband, his youngest brother, was just a couple of weeks old when Bobby went into the Air Force. A few years later when Bobby came home on leave, the bus dropped him off at the end of the long driveway at the their farm. Bobby walked up the driveway in uniform and approached Jimmy and said, “hey, son, I’m your brother.” Of course, Jimmy had no idea who he was and ran into the house and announced to their mother, “Mamma, there is a guy out there that claims to be my brother.” Of course, after their mother cried and ran to Bobby, the rest of their relationship became history. Everyone loved Bobby (including me). The last time he came to our home he asked me to pray with him. I know for a fact that Bobby is now with his Lord and Savior. Fly high, Bobby, we will see you again one day. We loved you so much.
