With profound sorrow and tender remembrance, we announce the passing of Baby Ch’ace Derez Bishop, who departed this life on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Though his time on earth was brief—just one short month—his life held deep meaning and brought immeasurable love to those who were blessed to know him.

Baby Ch’ace was born on January 23, 2026, in Greer, South Carolina, a cherished son of Jessica Shante Brand and Charles Allen “Spanky” Bishop, Jr. From the moment of his arrival, he was surrounded by love and care. His gentle presence, peaceful spirit, and innocent beauty brought comfort, joy, and hope to his family, leaving memories that will be forever treasured.

Left to cherish the precious memories of Baby Ch’ace are his devoted parents, Jessica Shante Brand and Charles Allen Bishop, Jr.; his loving grandparents, Sarah and Michael Brand; his beloved brother, Anthony McRae; and his adoring sister, Genesis Bishop, who will forever remember her baby brother with love and pride.

Also mourning his passing are his special cousin, A’mira Pearson; his loyal aunt and uncle, Ashley and Hywan Pearson; his dear uncle, Jowuan Givens; his beloved cousin Jasmine and her fiancé, Keywuan Burgess; his cherished aunt and uncle, Capria and Shawn Lowery; and his attentive uncle, Jamil “A.J.” Bishop, along with a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by his brief yet meaningful life.

Preceding Baby Ch’ace in death are his paternal grandparents, Cynthia Fulton and Charles Allen Bishop, Sr.; his maternal great-grandparents, Mary and Ernest Miller; and his paternal great-grandparents, Jasper and Mary Ann Fulton. While words cannot ease the pain of loss, the family finds comfort in the lasting legacy of love left behind.
