In the afternoon of March 23, 2026, Cynthia M. Tisdale, beloved wife, devoted daughter, cherished sister, adored aunt, and much-admired friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Cindy was born February 02, 1959, the second child and daughter to Harry Lee and Lola Mae (Hudson) Morris in Kingstree, South Carolina. Where home was meeting up with friends after school and riding bikes till dusk. In middle school, Cindy was the brave sibling, always coming up with adventures, like making forts in the woods, and jumping off the playhouse “Mary Poppins’ style” with umbrellas. In high school, Cindy was an “enchanter”. Her tenth grade English teacher, Dr. Sethu, dubbed her “Mono Lisa” because of her captivatingly beautiful smile.
Cindy was a graduate of Kingstree Sr. High and Florence-Darlington Tech College where she received her degree in Dental Assistance. After which, she began her long-standing career in Dentistry with Dr. David F. Grossman, DMD. It was during this time, that Cindy met the love of her life, Richard (Rick) Tisdale. Cindy and Rick were married on September 25, 1978, and made their home in Kingstree where Rick built their first dream house which was featured in The Kingstree News on October 22, 1981.
Cindy and Rick eventually moved to Surfside, South Carolina where Cindy dedicated many years as an Office Manager with Glens Bay Dental Associates before retiring. And where Rick, along with friend Ronnie Altman started R & R Construction, building many homes in and around the area, including several of their own homes. Throughout those years, Cindy and Rick raised many “furry” family members whom they cherished. They were devoted to their family, their friends, and to each other (Rick never left Cindy’s side throughout her long battle).
Cindy’s love was a cherished gift, and we will forever carry it with us, along with her unwavering grace, quick infectious humor, and her “Mona Lisa” smile.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard H. Tisdale, of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Debrah Hardee, of Aynor, and Cheryl Harrelson of Surfside; a brother, Bryan (Linda) Morris of Surfside; a brother-in-law, James (Donna) Tisdale, of Lynchburg, VA; nephews, Adam (Jolene) Hardee, and Noah (Christy) Hardee, both of Gallivants Ferry, SC; a niece, Lindsy (Cole Chavious) Morris, of Myrtle Beach, SC; great nephew and nieces, Issac Hardee, Layla Hardee, Emma Hardee, Oliva Hardee, and Mackenzie Forrett, all of Gallivants Ferry, SC.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Rex Harrelson, of Kingstree, SC and Luke Hardee, of Aynor; a nephew, William Shane Harrelson, of Garden City, SC; a father and mother-in-law, James and Daisy Tisdale, of Kingstree, SC.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Amedisys-Hospice for their compassionate care, and to Mike and Maria Rodgers, of Kingstree, SC for their steadfast friendship and unwavering support during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Cindy Tisdale’s name to the All4Paws Animal Rescue, on 708 Petigru Drive, in Pawleys Island, SC. www.all4pawssc.org

So sorry for your loss
To The Family,
Please Accept My Heartfelt Condolences. Truly the loss of a precious loved one is most difficult. Please find comfort in the promise our most loving Heavenly Father Jehovah God gives us in Revelation 21:4″And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more; neither will mourning; nor outcry; nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Yes, We can look forward to a time soon to come when all suffering including death will be done away with forever.
