Funeral service for Mr. Hydrick will be 3 PM Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.

Visitation

Don’s family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

     Donald Cleveland “Don” Hydrick, Sr., 80, husband of Mary Nell Huggins Hydrick, died Thursday, May 9, 2019, at his home.

         Mr. Hydrick was born May 3, 1939, in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late Grover Cleveland Hydrick and Marjorie Montease Lockliear Hydrick. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and a Certified Educator’s Workshop at Clemson. He taught Auto Mechanics at Kingstree High School for many years. Don was the owner/operator of Don’s Auto Supply and Hydrick’s Garage. He was a member of Millwood Methodist Church. His joys were racing, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family.

     Surviving Mr. Hydrick are: his wife of 58 years, Nell Hydrick; 3 daughters, Donnell (Jeff) Kiester of Florence, Dianne McClary of Surfside Beach, and Dana Hydrick-Johnson (Chippy) of Timmonsville; a son, Donald Cleveland (Abbie) Hydrick, Jr. of Kingstree; grandchildren, Justin McClary, Heather McClary, Dylan McClary, Marshall McClary, Mary Paige McClary, Maggie Johnson, Jake Hydrick, Ben Kiester, Coleman Kiester, and Chandler Kiester; great grandchildren, Harley Grace McClary and Layah Paris McClary; and his dog Macie.
