Donald Lane, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Pocotaligo River Health and Rehab in Manning, SC.
Donald was born July 24, 1947, in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late Henry Arthur Lane and Elise Harrington Lane. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School, attended the Baptist College in North Charleston, and received an associate degree from Spartanburg Junior College. Donald served six years in the South Carolina National Guard 1052nd Transportation Company. He retired from Farmers Telephone Co-Op as Warehouse Supervisor after 38 years of service. Donald was a member of Kingstree First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and working in his yard in his free time.
Donald is survived by: his daughter, Paige (Andrew) Speir of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two grandchildren, Stonewall and Georgia-Jean Speir, both of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Mary Frances (Phil) Owens of Georgetown, SC; his twin brother, Ronald (Katie) Lane of Lake City; many nieces and nephews; and special companion, Linda Williamson and her family.
