Oh, Ma Doris…we gonna miss you something terrible. You were a bright spot in our lives. You were one of the best pastor’s wives any church member could have. I can only imagine what it was like when you entered into heaven’s gates last night. Bro. Troy and Mamie and Papa there to welcome you along with your mother and father and others who’ve gone on before.

To all the boys (my brothers, lol)…She left you a road map to get to where she is. She’s waiting now with the great cloud of witness encouraging you make it. I know you gonna miss her. We love y’all. Thoughts and prayers to you.

Doris was always a friendly and nice person. She ran the #2 store for many years! I visited her home and shop on several occasions. Several years ago I photographed her in the store for my recent book. She gave me so much of information on her family and the No. 2 store. RIP Doris!
