Mrs. Dorothy Anderson Brown, 83, wife of George Bruce Brown, passed away peacefully at her home in Kingstree, SC on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Born on October 19, 1942, the daughter of the late Fred and Lula Anderson of Coward, SC. She was a graduate of J.C. Lynch School. During her time there she enjoyed playing on the basketball team and loved J.C. Lynch. She was a member of St. Paul Church of Coward, SC.
In addition to her husband Bruce of 64 years, Dorothy is survived by: two sons, Gilbert Brown, of Jacksonville, FL, Bill Brown (LeeAnn), of Turbeville; a sister, Judy Lewis (Al), of Florence, SC; a granddaughter, Crystal Newton (Sam), of Lake City; and two great grandchildren, Hayden Newton and Braylen Newton.
