Mrs. Dorothy Osborne Tisdale, 78, widow of S. Wesley Tisdale, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Lake Moultrie Nursing Home in St. Stephen.

Mrs. Tisdale was born August 18, 1936, in Florence County, a daughter of the late Charlie Aikin Osborne and Esther Weaver Osborne. She was a graduate of Florence County Schools. Mrs. Dorothy was a sales clerk at Allied and Cato. She was a member of Millwood Methodist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School. Mrs. Dorothy was a caregiver to her family members, a loving mother and grandmother, and also loved gardening.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tisdale was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, and 1 brother, Francis Marion Osborne.

Mrs. Dorothy is survived by: a daughter, Sheryl T. (Chuck) Belding, of Kingstree; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 17, 2015, at Tisdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday evening at Williamsburg Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Millwood Methodist Church, c/o Sylvia Brown, 1473 Millwood Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
