Funeral Services

    Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel with a burial in New Market Cemetery in Greeleyville.

Visitation

Mr. Ed’s family will receive friends Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 6PM to 8PM at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Edward Montgomery “Ed” Heins, Sr., 88, husband of Amelia Nell Bryant Heins, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 26, 2019.

     Mr. Heins was born October 10, 1930, in Greeleyville, a son of the late Harmon Koon Heins Sr. and Allie Montgomery Heins. He was a high school graduate of Greeleyville Schools. Mr. Ed retired after 40 plus years from the SC Army National Guard as Sergeant Major. Mr. Heins was a member of the Ingelsby Masonic Lodge for 50 plus years and a member of McDowell Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and an elder emeritus.

     Surviving Mr. Ed in addition to his wife are: his sons, Monty (Diane) Heins, of Sanford, MI and Ernie (Donna) Heins, of Mt. Pleasant; 4 grandchildren, Evan and Jonah Heins, of Mt. Pleasant and Ethan and Caroline Heins, of College Station Texas; and 2 sisters, Virginia Thompson, of Vienna, VA and Ceil Frazier, of Charles Town, WV.

 In addition to his parents, Mr. Heins was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Lou Byers and his brother Harmon Koon “H.K.” Heins, Jr.
