Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Florence’s life will be 3 PM Monday, September 24, 2018, in Kingstree United Methodist Church, with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.

Visitation

Mrs. Byrdic’s family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 in the Ladies Parlor at the church.

Florence Hanniford Byrdic, 90, widow of Rubert Boyd Byrdic, died Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Kingstree Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Byrdic was born May 22, 1928, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late John Henry and Florence Coker Hanniford. She was educated in Williamsburg County Schools and owned and operated Byrdic’s Catering Service for over 40 years. For 60 years she was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church, where she served as Senior Adults Coordinator for many years. She served faithfully on the hospitality committee for many years and was a lifetime member of the Gary Hemingway Circle. Mrs. Florence was much loved by the adults and children of the community. Her greatest pleasures were the love of her church, the joy of spending time with her family, and sharing her love of baking with countless numbers of friends all over Williamsburg County and surrounding area.

Surviving Mrs. Byrdic are: her daughters, Gloria (Ed) Harville, of Salters, SC, Sandy (Jim) Bradley, of Florence,SC and Lynette (Chris) Bradley, of Evans, GA; a daughter of the heart, Melody McIntosh (Keith) Vaughn, of Orangeburg, SC; 3 grandaughters, Erin (Scott) Schwasnick, of Greenville, SC Alison Bradley, and Rebecca Bradley, both of Evans, GA; a grandson, Daniel Bradley, of N. Augusta, SC; 2 great grandsons, Jacob and David Schwasnick; 1 brother; 2 sisters; 3 sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Byrdic was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 1 sister.
