  5. Janet LaCoste

This is beautifully said and Jean is smiling at all these treasured remembrances. She was, and will remain to me, a very special friend (former sister-in-law, as I was married to her brother, Jim).
Her kindness and thoughtfulness to others set a fine example to those who cared to emulate. Smart, pretty, funny and talented, with a sharp mind for history and details. I loved her. She will be missed here, but I wish her Godspeed in her journey to reunite with husband Lefty, brother Jim and parents.

Miss Jean was always a bright spot in anyone’s day. I loved to chat with her because she was always informed about many of the goings-on in the community and the world. My mother, Millie, cherished her friendship and thoroughly enjoyed their hours of phone visits! They were best of friends and I’m thinking that they are both serving on a committee in heaven now. She will be truly missed.

Losing a mother is like losing a part of one’s self. There’s an emptiness that only those who have lost a close relative can understand. I know memories will keep your mother close to you. I hope that time will ease your sorrow. May the love that surrounds you be a source of comfort at this time.

Another of Kingstree’s finest has departed this earth. Miss Jean was truly a unique character that I have known and loved all my life. We lived across the street from them and vacationed together when all of the children were young. She was always so sweet to us, and was especially close to our Mother, Virginia Gee. Miss Jean will be missed but, according to what I believe, she is now enjoying the riches of heaven with Mr. Lefty.
