A private family service has been held.

Jerry “Jay” Clifton Brown Jr., 43, died Wednesday, March 2, 2023, at his home in Florence.

Mr. Brown was born July 23, 1979, in Sumter, SC,  the son of Jean Easler Brown and the late Jerry Clifton Brown Sr. Jay was a graduate of Williamsburg Academy. He enjoyed working with his father and grandfather at Lane Pole Company. He grew up enjoying hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Jay also enjoyed working in shipping throughout his work career.

Surviving Mr. Brown, along with his mother Jean, are: his children, daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Brown of Tennessee  and Alice-Ann Lea Brown and his son, David Clifton Brown, both of Ruby, SC, a sister, Tiffaney Nicole Brown, a niece, Avery Jean Brown, both of Florence, SC;  Significant Other, Kendra Stokes Keels and her sons all of Florence and numerous aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
