A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Sandy Bay Cemetery.
James “Jim” Snipes, Jr., 75, husband of Jessica Floyd Snipes, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his home in Kingstree, SC.
Jim was born February 3, 1951, in Asheville, NC, a son of the late James B. Snipes and Sara Anders Snipes. He was a member of Kingstree First Freewill Baptist Church. Jim served as the superintendent for the Town of Kingstree Water Department and retired after 23 years of work. He was an avid deer hunter and NASCAR fan.
In addition to his wife Jessica, surviving Jim are: daughters, Jamie McGee (Tony), Lisa McCracken (Kelly); a son, Matthew Snipes; grandchildren, Chelsea Marlowe, Caitlyn McGee, Colby McGee, Ryann Morris (James), Reed McCracken, Rowan McCracken, Paris Snipes, Jemma Snipes, Kash Snipes; great-grandchildren, Landon Marlowe, Ellie Gause, Layton Marlowe, Sunny James Morris; and sisters, Dedra Shipman and Pamela James.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a previous wife, Susan Long Snipes.

I love this dear brother in the Lord.He was so enthusiastic about Jesus and years long past he ,I and his dear sweet momma would occasionally sing together in church. Such sweet times. Singing praises to our Lord. Going to miss you but happy your with Jesus now and your loves ones who have went on.
