I had the pleasure of knowing JoJo. I used to sell flowers at bars here in SC and got very close with some of the people I would see on a nightly basis. The bar he was a chef at was always my favorite. I had helped the owner clean up an ink pen spill and was hungry, so JoJo made me an omlette. It was raining one night really hard this past summer and I was taking a break on my rounds and didn’t want to leave my car, I hear a knock on my window and look over to see him with an umbrella.

I considered him a friend and I will never forget the kindness he showed me.
