Funeral Services

A graveside funeral service will be held 3 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2022, at McClary Cemetery near Kingstree.

Visitation

Family and friends are invited to gather at Millwood Community Center following the service to share memories and a meal.

     Ronald Eugene Brown, 76, of Kingstree, SC, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. 

     A graveside funeral service will be held 3 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2022, at McClary Cemetery near Kingstree. Family and friends are invited to gather at Millwood Community Center following the service to share memories and a meal.

      Ronnie was born in Kingstree on February 22, 1946, and was the son of Alberta Owens Brown and Daniel Ralph Brown. He was married to his late wife Mary McClary Brown for 37 years until her passing in 2015. Ronnie was an Army Veteran serving his country in the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated employee of Farmers Telephone Company for more than 3 decades and after retirement went back to work at McAllister Motors, now LKQ. His legacy is one of hard work, integrity, kindness, and Christ like servitude. Ronnie was a loving husband and grandfather and leaves behind more beloved friends and family than we could name. 

     Surviving are: his grandchildren Whitney (Ben) Collins, Jacob Brown Snowden, Keaton (Elizabeth) Windham and their son, Ronnie’s only great grandchild, JT Windham; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Holliday, Billy (Mary) McClary, Dean Carson, Regina Brown; nieces and nephews all of whom he loved as his own children, Caroline (Brandon) Stepp, Heather McClary, Justin (Heather) McClary, Hunter (Angie) Holliday, Bo (Erin) Carson, Shelly Carson, Danielle (Clint) Miles, Jennifer (Greg) Parrott; as well as his “second sons” Drew & Carey McClary and Jason & Shane Stillinger; and loved ones Mickey Snowden, Will Snowden, and Amy Snowden Adkins. 

     Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife  Mary McClary Brown, parents, Alberta Owens Brown and Daniel Ralph Brown, mother and father-in-law Bill and Mae Dell McClary, siblings, Daniel “Danny” Brown, Lorraine Brown Carson, Hazel Brown and Kenneth “Kenny” Brown, brother-in-law Bill Holliday, as well as his best friend of more than 55 years David Stillinger. 

     His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:21
