William Alfred “Bill” Eaddy, 75, husband of the late Cynthia White “Cindy” Eaddy, died Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his daughter’s home in the Barrineau Community of Lake City.
Bill was born November 2, 1950, in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late Willard Eaddy, Jr. and Bertha Mae Gibbons Eaddy. He was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and was a retired truck driver and dispatcher. He was a member of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church. Bill, lovingly known as “Daddy Cakes”, loved spending time with his family and when he wasn’t with them, you could find him fishing.
Bill is survived by: his children, Chris Eaddy, Angie (Thomas) Brooks, Tiffany Filyaw, and Cookie (Chris) Cawthon; grandchildren, C.J. Eaddy, Caitlyn (Morgan) Varney, Brandon Eaddy, Bill Timmons, Emily (Piercen) Lynch, Dylan Brooks, Tracey “Bub” Eaddy, Jessie (Daniel Gamble) Chockley, Gage Filyaw, Will Eaddy, Dalton Filyaw, Ben Eaddy, Carson Cawthon, and Campbell Cawthon; and great grandchildren, Paisley Eaddy, Lainey Varney, Logan Driggers, Nolan Varney, and Wesley Lynch. In addition to his parents and his wife Cindy, Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Morris and Mary Floyd.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in Sandy Bay Cemetery. Bill’s family will greet family and friends beginning at 3 PM just prior to the service in the church.
