Lendel French Swails McCrea, 89, widow of Albert Lewis McCrea, died Monday, November 5, 2018, in Kingstree Nursing Facility.

Lendel was born August 5, 1929, in Andrews, a daughter of the late Waver Parsons Swails and James Acue Swails. Mrs. Lendel was a Home Economist for Clemson Extension and a clerk at Sternn’s Department Store. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of The Friendship Circle and Women of the Church. Mrs. Lendel enjoyed cooking, flowers and her grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. McCrea are: her son, Darren (Fran) Mccrea, of Kingstree; her grandchildren, Joshua Darren McCrea and Justin Lewis McCrea; four sisters, Imo S. Cantley, of Kingstree; Willa S. Jenkins, of Andrews; Cynthia S. Boland, of Sunset Beach, NC; and Windola S. Pitts, of Andrews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lendel was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Swails and Hartwell Swails, and a sister, Rena S. Mobley.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018, in Central Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Tisdale Cemetery. Richard Brown Haddock, age 70, was born February 21, 1948. On October 25, 2018, he died tragically in an airplane that went down off the coast of Charleston, SC.

Born and raised in Kingstree, SC, he graduated from Clemson University and became a certified Professional Engineer.  He retired from Farmers Telephone Cooperative as their Chief Engineer.  Richard was a flight instructor and was instrumental in the establishment of the Williamsburg County Airport, which he was maintaining.  He also served as a state constable.

Among his many interests and skills were flying, fishing, SCUBA diving, riding his motorcycle and hunting.  Richard was active in his church and served others in all aspects of life.  He enjoyed taking family and friends on trips to the Bahamas.

He is admired and loved by many, but above all, by his family.  Richard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Bonita Geer Haddock, his son Richard Ryan Haddock (Kristy), his daughter Melanie Haddock Brocato (Brett) and his six grandchildren, ranging in age from 8 years to 1 year old — Madison, Cade, Lucas, Nora, Gavin and Trudy. Richard is also survived by his brother, William Carroll Haddock, and predeceased by his brother, Henry Curtis Haddock, and his parents, Dargan Carroll and Thelma Brown Haddock.

Hilma Thompson McAllister, 90, died Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Mrs. McAllister was born August 6, 1928 in Hemingway S.C., she was the daughter of the late Troy Lee Thompson and Winnie Bell McAllister Thompson. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School. Mrs. Hilma worked at Rose’s in Kingstree for 34 years, Variety Wholesale for 5 years and B.C. Moore & Sons for 15 Years. She was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church, where she and Audis were Adult Leaders for the League. Mrs. Hilma was a former choir member, member of the Circle, a Sunday School Teacher and an Elder.

Surviving Mrs. Hilma is: her son-in-law, Bill Burgess, of Kingstree; one brother, James L. (Mary Ellen) Thompson, of Hinesville, GA; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mrs. McAllister was preceded in death by her husbands, H. Audis Reardon and Mack A. McAllister, a son, Audie L. “Ron” Reardon, step son, Bobby McAllister, and a daughter Miriam Burgess.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Midway Presbyterian Church, with a burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, October 29, 2018 at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Dorothy Hazel Epps Baker died peacefully on Thursday night, October 18, 2018, in the Kingstree Nursing Facility in Kingstree, South Carolina. Hazel, who was born in Halifax, Virginia, on June 30, 1927, had turned 91 this past summer.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and being very dedicated to her family, her church, and her Lord.

The funeral services will be held Sunday at the Kingstree United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be at 3 pm, followed by the service at 4 pm.  The burial will be immediately following at the cemetery of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.

Hazel was the widow of James David Baker, whom she was married to for 47 years. David and Hazel are survived by 3 children: James David (Jim) Baker, Jr (Linda) of Columbia, SC; Cora (Cookie) Baker Adams (Hal) of Columbia, SC; and Thomas Edgar Baker of Manning, SC.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Daniel Epps and Ollie Mae Covington Epps, whom she loved dearly. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister Doris who died shortly after birth, an older brother McKay Daniel Epps, and an older sister Cora Epps Rodgers. The Epps family of 5 moved from Halifax, Virginia to Lane, SC when Hazel was 8 years old. A few years later the Epps family moved to Kingstree, SC where Hazel graduated from Kingstree High School.  She took a year of business classes after graduation and worked in a jewelry store until Hazel and David were married January 28, 1947.  Their first home was on David’s farm in Salters; they moved to Kingstree in 1959.

Hazel’s family, including her parents, her aunts and uncles, her siblings and her cousins, were all very important to her. She took the role of motherhood very seriously as she cared for and watched over her 3 children; she was very involved in every aspect of their lives.  One year she served as the Homeroom Mother for all 3 of her children’s classes!  She cherished the role of grandmother to her 4 granddaughters; she was known as “Mama Hazel” to her 4 granddaughters, Dorothy Christine “Dottie” Adams (Angela) of Columbia, SC; Dr. Alice Louise Adams Bonaimé (Matt) of Tucson, Arizona; Leesa Marie Baker Belue (Kee) of Kingstree, SC; and Victoria Elizabeth “Vicki” Baker Mengel (Hunter) of Mount Pleasant, SC.  In later years she was excited about being a great- grandmother of 8 great-grandchildren: Luke Bonaimé, Clara Bonaimé, Sebastien Bonaimé, Callie Adams, Cooper Adams, Avery Belue, Ellie Belue and Henley Mengel.  She was preceded in death by great-granddaughter Maddie Bonaimé.

Hazel loved caring for her home, but she especially enjoyed piddling in her yard. She always had flowers blooming, shrubbery to cut, and weeds to pull.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed just sitting on her patio or swing.

Also, Hazel loved to travel back to Halifax, Virginia to visit her many cousins.  She especially enjoyed her weekend trips to Columbia to visit her family. However, her favorite place to visit was Charleston. When the kids were at home, she, David, and all 3 kids made all-day trips to Charleston often.  Later in

life, she and her son Jim would go to Charleston at least once per month. She also loved visiting her many friends in Kingstree and Manning to play cards or just talk.  She enjoyed life to the fullest!

She and David were members of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church when they first married.  Later they joined Kingstree United Methodist Church.  She volunteered in various jobs around the church, including teaching Sunday School for children and Vacation Bible School every summer. In later years she enjoyed the Katie Cole Circle and visiting the sick and homebound members and was an active member of the Wallace D. Connor Sunday School Class, until she moved to Manning ,SC, to be closer to her son Edgar in April 2008.  She became an Associate Member of the Wyboo Community Church, where she was active as long as she could attend. She remained until her death a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church, which she loved dearly.

Hazel had many caring sitters in Manning, where they cared for her daily from 2012 until January 2016. Her son Edgar also moved in with her to help with her care. She moved into the Kingstree Carlyle Nursing Facility on January 15, 2016.  The family is most appreciative of the many wonderful CNA’s, nurses, and staff who cared for her there and also to her doctor for many years Dr. Raymond Allen.  Also, her granddaughter Leesa, who works at the facility, checked on Mama Hazel often.  Everyone there knew she was Leesa’s Grandmother!  The family also expresses appreciation to Amedisys Hospice Care of Florence for their professional and gentle care of Ms. Hazel. A special thank-you is also offered to her beloved friend and companion, Sheryl Miles, who patiently and lovingly assisted Ms. Hazel for almost 6 years.

Gerald David Mitchum, 84, husband of Malivia “Libby” Coker Mitchum, died Thursday, October 18, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Mitchum was born November 27, 1933, in Great Falls, SC, a son of the late Robert Livingston Mitchum and Leola Richburg Mitchum. He was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and worked for CSX Railroad for 41 years. Mr. Mitchum was in the National Guard for 10 years and a member of Kingstree First Baptist Church, where he was a Past Deacon and he taught the 8-9 year old Sunday school class for 20 years with his wife Libby. He was a 33^rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner, and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

Surviving Mr. Gerald, in addition to his wife Libby of 54 years is: his brothers, Donald (Linda)Mitchum, Tommy (Diane) Mitchum, Harry (Lois Gordon) Mitchum and Larry (Pearline) Mitchum. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mitchum was preceded in death by his sisters, Alberta M. Tisdale Burrows, Thelma M. Benton Haddock, and Naomi M. Tisdale Johnson.

Jack Scott, 91, husband of Naomi Binter Scott, died Thursday, October 18, 2018, at his cabin in Salters.

Mr. Jack was born November 19, 1926, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Robert Cleveland Scott and Mary Elise McCrea Scott. He was in the merchant marines, served 22 months as a Sergeant with the 340^th Engineering Construction Battalion during the Korean War. Mr. Jack was a farmer, shriner, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. For over 30 years he was a member of the Board of Directors of Tri County Cotton Gin, and in 1979 he was named Farmer of the Year by the Kingstree Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Scott was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, deacon and a member of the building committee.

Surviving Mr. Jack, in addition to his wife Naomi, are: his children, Mark (Sheryl) Scott, of Salters; Deborah (Kevin) Martin, of Conway; and Jackie (Arthur) Graham, of Lane; sisters, Eula Scott, Gloria Scott, and Nadine Jones, of Kingstree; grandchildren, Sarah S. Kelley, Lindsay M. McDowell, Sawyer G. Reed, Gordon Scott, and A. William Graham; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Mr. Scott was preceded in death by a grandson Jonathan Kyle Martin; sisters, Annie Scott and Nell Tisdale; and brothers, Royce C. Scott and Willie James Scott.

Carl Wilbur Joye, Jr., 85, widower of Virginia “Ginger” Hinson Joye, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Joye was born August 8, 1933, in Kingstree, a son of the late Carl Wilbur Joye and Maude Baker Joye. He was a 1951 graduate of Kingstree High School and a 1955 graduate of Presbyterian College. Mr. Wilbur was an Army veteran and retired as owner and operator of Kingstree Dry Cleaners. He was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, a deacon, choir member, past president of John W. Davis Hut class, and past vice president of Harmony Men. Mr. Wilbur was past president, secretary and treasurer of Kingstree Rotary Club.

Surviving Mr. Wilbur are: his children, Carl W. Joye, III; Jodi Joye (Lynn McPherson), both of Beaufort; Joey Ward, of Pawley’s Island; Bitzie (Herbie) Owens, of Kingstree; Rocky (Debbie) Ward, of Kingstree; Laurice Ann Ward, of Beaufort; a daughter-in-law, Teri Ward;  12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister Shirley Burke, of Kingstree. In addition to his parents and his wife Ginger, Mr. Joye was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia “Jeni” Joye Catterton; and a son, Christopher “Chris” Lamar Ward.

Sylvia Floyd Goodrich, 50, wife of Albert Conrad “Al” Goodrich, died Monday, October 8, 2018, in MUSC.

Mrs. Goodrich was born November 3, 1967, in Lake City, SC. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and attended Coward Baptist Church.

Doris Olivia Cooper Gause, 79, widow of Troy Melton Gause, died Sunday, October 7, 2018, at her son’s residence.

Mrs. Doris was born October 11, 1938, in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Daniel R. Cooper and Isalene Bendigo Cooper. At the age of thirteen she was adopted by the late Rev. Ernest M. and Virginia Lambert Cooper, who raised her as their daughter. She was a member of Kingstree Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving Mrs. Gause are: her sons, Keith (Missy) Marshall, of Warsaw; Ernest Gause, of Kingstree; Marshall (Sandra) Gause, of Kingstree; Stanley (Glenda) Gause, of Piney Forest; and Raymond (Billie Lynn) Gause, of Sampit; brothers, David Cooper, of Jamestown; Elisha Cooper, of St. Stephens; and Daniel Marion Cooper, of Walterboro; sisters, Clara Mae Cooper, of Lambertown; Bell Lee, of Lambertown; and Mary Ann Ackerman, of Oak Ridge; 12 Grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren. Alphonso James “AJ” Rigby, Jr., 91, widower of Mary Ann Nicholson Rigby, died Saturday, October 6, 2018, at his residence in Pawley’s Island.

Mr. Rigby was born October 22, 1926, in Kingstree, a son of the late Alphonso James Rigby and Sara Nunnally Rigby. He attended Clemson College and was the retired owner of Rigby Electric Supply. Mr. Rigby was a pilot and avid golfer and past President of South Carolina Golf Association. He was a former Georgetown County Airport Commissioner, past master of Kingstree Masonic Lodge #46 and a member of Pawley’s Island Lodge #409.

Surviving Mr. Rigby are: two sons, Billy Rigby, of Pawley’s Island and Al (Marcie) Rigby, of Kingstree; two grandsons, Kyle (Shameka) Rigby, of Holden Beach, NC and Mason (Shannon) Rigby, of Sumter; five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. AJ was preceded in death by wives Joyce Coleman Rigby and Mary Ann Nicholson Rigby; son, Alphonso James “Jimmy” Rigby, III; brothers, William J. Rigby, Jesse N. Rigby and George H. Rigby.

David John Floyd, 73, died Friday, September 28, 2018, in McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Floyd was born July 30, 1945, in Kingstree, a son of the late Wayne and Edith Kathleen McAllister Floyd. He was educated in Williamsburg County schools and was a food and drink delivery driver.

Surviving Mr. Floyd are: a brother, Earl (Ruby) Floyd, of Kingstree; 2 sisters, Mary Louise Cox, of Kingstree and Patricia Ann (William) Strong, of Andrews; 7 nieces and 4 nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Floyd.

Florence Hanniford Byrdic, 90, widow of Rubert Boyd Byrdic, died Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Kingstree Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Byrdic was born May 22, 1928, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late John Henry and Florence Coker Hanniford. She was educated in Williamsburg County Schools and owned and operated Byrdic’s Catering Service for over 40 years. For 60 years she was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church, where she served as Senior Adults Coordinator for many years. She served faithfully on the hospitality committee for many years and was a lifetime member of the Gary Hemingway Circle. Mrs. Florence was much loved by the adults and children of the community. Her greatest pleasures were the love of her church, the joy of spending time with her family, and sharing her love of baking with countless numbers of friends all over Williamsburg County and surrounding area.

Surviving Mrs. Byrdic are: her daughters, Gloria (Ed) Harville, of Salters, SC, Sandy (Jim) Bradley, of Florence,SC and Lynette (Chris) Bradley, of Evans, GA; a daughter of the heart, Melody McIntosh (Keith) Vaughn, of Orangeburg, SC; 3 grandaughters, Erin (Scott) Schwasnick, of Greenville, SC Alison Bradley, and Rebecca Bradley, both of Evans, GA; a grandson, Daniel Bradley, of N. Augusta, SC; 2 great grandsons, Jacob and David Schwasnick; 1 brother; 2 sisters; 3 sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Carl Glean Tisdale, Sr., 90, husband of Adelle Wallace Tisdale, died Monday, September 17, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Tisdale was born May 7, 1928, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late John James Tisdale and Hannah Byrdic Tisdale. He attended Cedar Swamp schools and was a farmer. He loved spending time with his children, grand children and great grandchildren.

Surviving Mr. Tisdale, in addition to his wife Adelle, are: a son, Glen (Sue) Tisdale, of Kingstree; a daughter, Karan (Joe) Campbell, of Summerville; grandchildren, Melissa (Dean) McClary, Joel Campbell, Joshua Tisdale, Jaimee (Matt) Rhodes and Caleb Tisdale; great grandchildren, Daniel Oxendine, Kale Gurley, Bear Rhodes and Cypress Rhodes; brothers, Hilton (Carrie) Tisdale, of Manning, and Byrdic (Linda) Tisdale, of Kingstree. Garrison Scherich “Gary” Hupp, Jr., 56, husband of Linda Jones Hupp, died Monday, September 17, 2018, in McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hupp was born September 19, 1961, in Calvert, Maryland, a son of the late Garrison Scherich Hupp, Sr. and Sarah Houston McCraw Hupp. He was a graduate of the University of Virginia and was employed by NanYa Plastics. Gary enjoyed golf and woodworking and loved his grandchildren. He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church.

Surviving Mr. Hupp, in addition to his wife Linda, are: step children, Gary Lewis, of Missouri and Michelle Lewis Gannon, of New York; a sister, Sarah Loftin, of Chapel Hill, NC; a brother, Cabot Hupp, of Floyd, VA; 5 grandchildren, Lehanna Lewis, Cody Lewis, Madeline Lewis, Winston Lewis, and Erin Gannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol Renee McKenzie passed away suddenly on September 9, 2018, in Tucson, AZ.

Carol was born February 27, 1988, in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Mary Powell and Bill McKenzie. She graduated from The SC School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg, SC, where she was a member of the swim team. She participated in the Special Olympics as a swim team member and won numerous First Place awards. Carol was a member of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church where she participated in the Girls Ministries and had 23 years of perfect attendance in Sunday School.

Some of Carol’s favorite things included attending church and helping others, whether it was buckling a little one into a car seat or pushing a wheel chair. She loved small children, airplane and boat rides, having a pocket full of keys, and daily facetiming family members. The world is a better place because of her unconditional love. She will be dearly missed by all.

Carol is survived by: her sister, Cheryl (Gary) McClam, of Kingstree; 2 brothers, Ellis McKenzie-Morales (Matt), of Sahuarita, AZ and Richard (Toni) McKenzie, of Kingstree; her biological father, Paul (Debbie) Ray, of Manning; and a special little niece, Callahan Gavin McKenzie, of Sahuarita, AZ. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her biological mother, Darlene McKenzie Ray and a brother, DeWitt McKenzie.

Mary Elizabeth “Libby” McAllister Matthews, 82, widow of Oscar Howard Matthews, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, surrounded by her beloved family at home.

Mrs. Matthews was born September 8, 1936, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late William Wright and Mary Rowena Powell McAllister. She was educated in the Williamsburg County Schools and was retired as purchasing agent from Milliken in Kingstree after over 40 years of service. Mrs. Matthews was a member of Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the WMs. She loved cooking, making and decorating cakes for her family, friends, and church. Mrs. Matthews loved taking care of her grandchildren and enjoyed working in the yard in her flower beds.

Surviving Mrs. Matthews are her children, Donald “Pee Wee” (Shari) Matthews, Joey (Fran) Matthews, and Kathy (Randell) Thompson; grandchildren, Sarah Tiffany Matthews, Christopher Mason Matthews, Carter Joshua Matthews, and Jackie Marie Green; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rose Carraway and Deola Cumbee; a brother, Billy (Jeanette) McAllister; and lots of special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by a grandson, Ronald David Godwin, a sister, Ann Dukes, and 2 brothers, Charles McAllister and Carl McAllister

John Charles “Johnny” McGill, 74, husband of Helen Thompson McGill, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at MUSC.

Mr. McGill was born July 1, 1944, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Charles Emory McGill and Nettie Player McGill Browder. He attended Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, VA and The Citadel. Mr. McGill was an automobile wholesaler and attended Epworth United Methodist Church. He was an avid historian of American History, an accomplished musician, a talented dancer and loved animals.

Surviving Mr. McGill in addition to his wife Helen, are: his daughters, Linda M. (Benjamin) Wojcik, of Denver, Colorado; and Sarah M. (Joshua) Bannister, of Mt. Pleasant; his son, John Emory McGill, of Charleston; a granddaughter, Parker Wojcik, of Denver, Colorado; a grandson, Elliott John Bannister, due in September;  and two brothers, Charles McGill and Lenton McGill.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McGill was preceded in death by his sister Linda Spann.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in the chapel of Williamsburg Funeral Home, with a burial in Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery. Joye Allen Wilson of Salem, SC and formerly of Kingstree, SC died peacefully August 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Joye was born March 15, 1942 in Kingstree, SC, daughter of the late Walter Raymond Allen and Clennie Parrott Allen. She graduated from Kingstree High School and Winthrop College and spent her life serving her family and communities. After schooling, she returned to Kingstree to raise her family and later relocated to Bluffton and then to Lake Keowee to be near her family, building friendships along the way. The beaches of coastal South Carolina were the places of her dreams and the scenes of many happy memories.

Joye was a lifelong member of Kingstree Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served in numerous capacities. She served on the Board of Trustees of Williamsburg Academy for 12 years, including serving as Chairman. She worked for professional offices in Charleston, Kingstree, and Clemson before stopping to invest her primary energies in raising her sons. She later returned to work in 1989, spending many happy years at the Bank of Greeleyville in Kingstree.

She is survived by her husband Hogan M (Sonny) Wilson, three sons: Allen B Ward (Kim) of Bluffton, SC; Joel A Ward (Shannon) of Clemson SC and Henry O Ward (Laurin) of Charleston, SC; two step-sons Hogan M. Wilson (Cindy) of Bozeman MT; and LTC Gordon L. Wilson (Melissa) of Salado, TX. She was “Grammy” to 6 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren: Darby, Alice Ruth, Patrick, Caroline Joye, Lillian, and Olivia Ward and Gordon and Lauren Wilson. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Christine Davidson of James Island and Nana Funderburk of Murrells Inlet, and Walter Raymond Allen, Jr. of Kingstree.
A Memorial Service will be held at Kingstree United Methodist Church 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 9:30 am in the Ladies Parlor of the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingstree United Methodist Church, 510 North Longstreet Street, Kingstree, SC 29556 or to a charity of choice.

Crystal Coker White, 88, widow of John H. White, Sr., died Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital.

Mrs. White was born July 27, 1930, in Lake City, a daughter of the late Louie B. Coker and Pearl Jordan Coker. She was a graduate of Columbia Commercial College. Mrs. Crystal was a bookkeeper for Williamsburg Regional Hospital and volunteered in different areas of the hospital for many years. She was also a member of Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving Mrs. White are: her children, Linda W. (Charlie) Ethridge, of Kingstree; Claire W. (Kenneth) Jones, of Moncks Corner; John H. (Donna) White, Jr., of Batesburg-Leesville; and Nina W. (Steve) Barrineau, of Barrineau; Grandchildren, Crystal B. (Bob) Indrihovic, of Florence; Clay (Hope) Bradham, of Paris, TN; Mark (Kim) Vice, of Kingstree; Davis (Jennifer) Brown, of Kingstree; Louie (Dottie) Brown, of Greeleyville; Doug Driggers (Chad Lang), of Charlotte; Darren (Krista) Driggers, of Moncks Corner; Devon J. (Mark) Bisognani, of Mt. Pleasant; John H. White III, of Brunswick, GA; Amanda White, of Brunswick, GA; Lee (Tara) Barrineau, of Barrineau; and Adam (Sabrina) Barrineau, of Barrineau; 14 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Crystal was preceded in death by a daughter, LaVera W. Brown and a sister, Annie Mae Coker.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday, August 10, 2018, at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with a burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. Charles Wilson Belue, 78, widower of Betty H. Belue, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Charles was born August 3, 1939, in Union County, a son of the late Fred Wilson Belue and Mary Gault Belue. He attended Union County Schools. Mr. Charles was a retired electrician. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving Mr. Belue are: his son, Chris (Ren) Belue, of Kingstree; his daughters, JoAnn (Ricky) Turner, of Greeleyville, and Darlene (Bo) Graham, of Olanta; his brothers, Bobby Belue, of Kingstree, and Dwight (Cheryl) Belue, of Spartanburg; his sisters, Sue B. Smith, of Kingstree, and Karen (Jack) Rhyne, of Chesterfield; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Katherine Mims.  In addition to his parents and his wife Betty, Mr. Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles Frederick Belue; a granddaughter, Caroline Graham; a sister, Joyce Belue and a grandson Davey Belue.
